The Drake Choir is Drake University’s select touring ensemble and is one of four choruses that provide singing opportunities for more than 250 students at Drake. The choir tours throughout the United States annually and internationally every four years. The ensemble has sung in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Ireland, and Wales, as well as in Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York City. The Drake Choir has also been featured on the conference program of the American Choral Directors Association.
Drake’s Chamber Choir is a select ensemble of singers drawn from the Drake Choir. The Chamber Choir’s most recent international tour took place in January 2014, when the ensemble performed in England, singing at St. Paul’s Cathedral and St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London; at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge and in the cathedrals of Ely and Coventry. The Chamber Choir has also performed for conferences of the American Choral Directors Association.

Chamber Choir Voces Musicales has received the annual music award of the Estonian Culture Endowment. As announced in the concert celebrating international music day in Estonia Concert Hall: „It is not surprising anymore, if a choir receives an award or a prize after 15 years of activity. The quality has never been compromised and the bar keeps rising. They perform exceptionally comprehensive and demanding concert programs, participate in daring projects, perform large-scale works with top-class orchestras. In upcoming months they will be giving concerts with the best conductors in the world. They give the concept ”amateur choir” a whole new meaning as they are breathing down the necks of Estonia’s famous professional choirs. The award of Sound Art Endowment of the Estonian Cultural Endowment goes to chamber choir Voces Musicales for enriching the concert life with their high-level concerts“.
